NARCAN Request

NARCAN is a medication used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Its generic name is naloxone. Anyone who learns to identify the signs of an opioid overdose can administer the medication.

Naloxone has saved more than 1,700 lives in Arkansas!

Organizations or families that keep naloxone doses on hand should attend training to learn how to administer naloxone safely and to use precautions while waiting for emergency personnel to arrive.

Naloxone is available for purchase at some pharmacies throughout Arkansas and is provided at no charge to organizations that qualify for our training.

Use the Request Narcan form to determine whether your organization is eligible.
